Staff Writer Guideline

I am looking for writers to write articles for Moolanomy.com and Reviews.Moolanomy.com. If you are interested, please keep reading.

Article Requirement

These are the attributes I am looking for in articles written by staff writers:

• The article must be your original content, not published anywhere before.
• Topics: The article should seek to help readers or answer questions. As such articles that start with “How To”, “What Is”, “Should I”, “Top XX”, “Introduction to”, “Best…”, etc. are preferred. Writer should submit topics for pre-approval, or select from a list of recommended topics (to be provided in the near future).
• Links: You may link to any relevant articles, resource or site as you see fit. However, you should try to link to relevant articles on Moolanomy first. The editor reserves the right to modify links as needed.
• Content Style: Content should be more tutorial style with personal spin, as opposed to diary style.
• Length: Article should be at least 500 words, no maximum — 800-1500 word articles are best.
• Frequency: There are no minimum or maximum requirements. However, writer must publish at least 3 articles per month to receive bonus pay (see below).
• Submission: Writers must submit articles directly in Wordpress. The article should be properly formatted with headings and links. Articles must be tagged with keywords, and proper category must be selected (select only 1 category).
• Photo: Appropriate photo should be included with proper credit attribution. Flickr creative common search is recommended for this purpose. Recommended size is 500 x 250.
• Deadline: Writer can submit articles for review at any time.
• Promotion: Writers are encouraged to promote their articles on social media sites, as well as link to their prior articles to maximize pageviews. Do not submit your article to blog carnivals, this will be done by the Admin.

Conditions

Here are some basic terms and conditions:

1. Paid writers can provide links within their articles. But the Admin can remove any link for any reason.
2. Paid articles become the property of Moolanomy.com once published and cannot be published elsewhere.
3. Paid writers will be identified as “Staff Writer” to clarify the ownership of articles.
4. Paid writers will be able to edit their own bio and include up to 2 links — preferably to the home page of their site and to the RSS feed.

Payment

Payment will be made via PayPal (or personal check) on the 15^th of the following month. The rate is as follow:

• $20 per article published
• $5 per 1,000 pageviews for ALL of traffic generated by your articles if you publish at least 3 articles per month. For example, if you have 4 articles that generated 7,000 pageviews in September, you’ll receive $80 plus $35 on October 15^th. In October, you write 3 more articles, and your 7 articles generated 19,000 pageviews in October, you’ll receive $60 plus $95 on November 15^th.

Please note that the payment plan may change at any time. If there’s a change, it will take affect on the 1st of the month after you have been notified.
