How To Use Moolanomy (Help)

March 17, 2008 :: Money ::

At this point, I believe that Moolanomy matured into a feature rich blog. As such, I am writing this “How To Use Moolanomy” page to help new and existing users to get the most value out of Moolanomy.

Let’s start with a screen shot of Moolanomy.

Screen Shot of Moolanomy

1. Moolanomy Logo and Tag Line

The logo and tag line appears on every page. You can click on “Moolanomy” at any time to return to the home page.

2. Main Navigation

Main navigation consists of eight options:

  1. Home - Takes you back to the home page
  2. Discuss - Shows 30 blog posts with most recently updated comment. This is very similar to “active topics” typical in discussion forums. This is the best way to join in various discussions without missing a beat.
  3. Archives - Shows chronological list of all articles grouped by month and year. This is the best way to see all articles at the same time.
  4. Blogroll - This is a small directory of personal finance blogs and tools that I found useful.
  5. About - This is a short article that explains who I am and why I started Moolanomy.
  6. Contact - The easiest way to contact me.
  7. Advertise - Explains various advertising options available, including information about guest posting.
  8. Help - This help file.

3. Subscription

There are two ways to subscribe to Moolanomy. When you subscribe, you are automatically notified of new blog posts without the need to visit Moolanomy to check for update.

  1. Subscribe via Email - When you subscribe via email, FeedBurner will automatically send you one email on any day that there’s at least one new post published on Moolanomy.
  2. Subscribe via Feed Reader - When you subscribe via feed reader, you can automatically receive updates through feed reading tool like Google Reader.
