Weekend Reading: 10 Day Give and Free Quicken Online

10 Day Give

10 Day Give is a project that anyone can join and all you have to do is give something everyday for 10 days.  This doesn’t mean you should stop when it’s over, but it’s a great way to train yourself to give everyday.  The project started this past Friday and I have been doing my part…not perfectly…but I am trying.

Before I tell you what I have done, I want to share a feeling that I felt. I am not spontaneous person and as a result the first two gifts were planned, and the third one will be as well.  That somehow still doesn’t feel “right” and I hope I could do something more spontaneous, unplanned, and on the spot giving over the next 7 days.

Free Quicken Online

Quicken Online will become FREE starting tomorrow Monday, October 13th. Until recently, Quicken Online was free to try, but cost $2.99 per month after a 60-day free trial period. Beginning October 13th, there will be no charge to use the Quicken Online program.

I have not used the program yet, but from the product’s information page, it looks similar to Mint.com.  Tomorrow, I’ll sign up for an account and will be reporting back to everyone.

Hanging in! Actually, I think now may be a good time to increase contributions if you can afford it. Of course, don’t quote me on that. ;)

Thanks a lot for the link!

Consider that one of your ‘gives’. :)

I’m going to start buying next week – I don’t know if anything is ‘on sale’ or just fairly valued but we shall see.

I have planned most of my gives as well… I do want to do some spontaneously, I just need to keep my eyes open for the chances!!
