    Good stuff, I didn’t feel like getting involved in the other discussion but I enjoyed it. I don’t think success is ever guaranteed, but you have a much better chance of becoming successful if you work at it. :)

    That was a great article you wrote for GRS. I’m a big believer in most of those points. Success is more a journey than a destination, and growth is constant.

    I’m not sure that I agree with the seven traits of successful people article, yes there are some people who fit into this category but it all depends upon what your definition of success is. If success is defined by how much you own, what your investment portfolio is like and how career orientated you are, then yes i agree that this may fit with the general characteristics of successful people. However if you measure success differently, like a parent who successfuly brings up their children or the values you impart into a childs life, then these traits are completely useless. I’m not a huge fan of bracketing peope into categories and I dislike psychology for this very reason, because it views people as a commodity rather than as individual, creative human beings.
