Preview of Upcoming Articles at Moolanomy

There are a lot going on at Moolanomy’s ideas factory. Unfortunately, I can’t write them down fast enough, but I want to share everything now — talking about patience! Anyway, here is a list of topics that I will be talking about over the next few days, may be weeks. I just hope I have time to get around to everything. Here are the upcoming articles at Moolanomy:

  1. H&R Block TaxCut and the Tax Season – I am a big fan of H&R Block TaxCut and I have been using it to prepare my taxes for many years now. I will be writing a series of articles about this software and taxes in the coming weeks. If you have never tried TaxCut before, you can check out the TaxCut Premium and State Online Tax Program. I am trying the online version for the first time also. The good thing is that you don’t have to pay until you decide to print or e-file your tax forms — but you can watch all the helpful videos and peruse the help section. Also, anyone that purchases TaxCut Premium gets the benefit of free “Ask a Tax Advisor” sessions.
  2. Peer-to-Peer Lending – I have a couple of ideas lined up regarding my new venture into peer-to-peer lending. At this point, I have made my third loan on Prosper, and started lending on Lending Club.
    • Is Peer-to-Peer Lending Morally Wrong? — There were some great points made by readers in one of my peer-to-peer lending posts that I want to explore further.
    • My Foray into Lending Club as a P2P Lender – I started one loan at $25 so far and I will be making a second one soon.
  3. Verizon Free HDTV — I finally got my free 19″ Sharp LCD HDTV for becoming a new Verizon Triple Play customer! I discovered a few more things (mostly missed opportunities) since then, and want to share some tips and tricks with you.
  4. Suze Orman’s Will & Trust Kit — I am in the process of updating my will and putting together an estate plan. I wasn’t too thrilled with H&R Block Willpower after giving it a quick run, so I am trying out Suze Orman’s Will & Trust Kit: The Ultimate Protection Portfolio (CD-ROM), which has 5 stars rating on Amazon.com. I will let you know how it works out.
  5. Book Reviews – I have a couple of books on my desk, and I have been trying to find time to read them all.
  6. Market Volatility and Decline – The stock market has been going into a tailspin with a lot of volatility that sent many investors running for cover. For the record, I haven’t sold anything to get out of the market because I am investing for the long run; however, I did shift some funds from my taxable account to my Roth IRA to max out my 2007 contribution limit. I will be writing about the decline and share some thoughts on what to do when the market goes south.
  7. Group Writing Projects

And this is not everything in the ideas factory. I still have a few more up my sleeves. I hope you liked the sneak preview and don’t for get to come back and read the full articles.
