Welcoming the Carnival of Financial Goals
By Pinyo • Dec 5th, 2007 • Category: MiscellaneousI thought it was a lot of work when I hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance (CoPF), so I was amazed when Patrick hosted the CoPF and launched the 1st edition of his own carnival in the very same week! If you want to get a sneak peek at personal finance bloggers’ 2008 goals, please visit the 1st Carnival of Financial Goals at Cash Money Life.
Here are my articles that appear at Cash Money Life this week:
- My 2008 Financial Resolution and a Chance to Win an iPod!
- Transforming Goals Into Actions
- Using Pareto Principle to Improve Personal Finance
Here are my other carnival posts from the past 2 weeks:
- How To Keep Your Skills Current was featured in the The December Career & Job Advice - Blog Carnival at Interview Chatter
- 7 Steps Debt Reduction Illustrated was featured in the Carnival of Debt Reduction #116 at Blogging Away Debt
- How Much Should We Invest Internationally? was featured in the Carnival of Financial Planning at The Skilled Investor
- 22 Money Maximizing Moves You Can Do Today was featured in the Carnival of Personal Finance #128 at Stock Trading To Go
- Public Declaration was featured in the Carnival of Family Life at On the Horizon
I like to say thank you to all the hosts. Great job everyone.
Lastly, a special thanks goes to Flexo for giving us the Carnival of Personal Finance.

Pinyo,
Thanks for mentioning the Carnival of Financial Goals. I didn’t originally plan to host 2 Carnivals in one week, but once I decided to create the CoFG, it logically fell on that date. Yes, it was a lot of work, but it was well worth being able to help everyone share their financial goals! Thanks for participating in both carnivals.
Hi Pinyo - do you find the carnivals still useful? I used to get some good traffic but the last month or two has been pretty dismal. Maybe I need to come up with better titles?
Mike
@Patrick - not a problem. I am glad everything worked out for the better for you.
@FourPillars - I think it’s a great mechanism to get your name out there. Of course, it provides a diminishing return as the blog becomes bigger. It also depends on the host too. It’s always worth it when GRS and TSD are hosting because they really have a lot of referral power. I think catchy title and good content always help; especially, if it means you become an editor’s pick.
Hey, thanks for the post. I’m happy to discover another new carnival.
