Top 10 List of Personal Finance Lists

I have been reading a lot lately trying to bring myself back up to speed about personal finance matters. In the past two weeks, I came across a lot of good resources. Since I am having a serious case of writer block today, I will just share links to 10 of the best posts and articles:

  1. 30 Free eBooks to Learn Everything You Want to Know About Personal Finance by Cap at Mint.com. I am not sure how Cap found all these free eBooks, but the list is awesome. I will be busy the next few months reading all these eBooks. Reviews on a few of these eBooks are coming soon over the coming months.
  2. Building a Personal Finance Library: 25 of the Best Books About Money by JD at Get Rich Slowly. This list contains excellent personal finance books. I haven’t read all the books listed here and I am looking forward to read them. I think The Millionaire Next Door will be my next book.
  3. 102 Personal Finance Tips Your Professor Never Taught You by Ask The Advisor. This is a good list of basic financial advice. Some items are a bit generalized, but overall the list is a good place to start for those who are new to personal finance.
  4. 46 Things I Wish My Mom Taught Me About Money by Lisa Laprade at Women’s Personal Finance.net. Similar to the list above by Ask The Advisor from a different perspective, and Lisa went a little more in depth to explain each tip on her list.
  5. 73 Great Debt Elimination Tips by Zen Habits. Another good list of tips and ideas that focus specifically on debt elimination, saving money, and expenses reduction.
  6. 31 Days To Fix Your Finances: A Wrapup by Trent at The Simple Dollar. This is an extensive walk through of personal finance management. This is not a single post, but a series of 31 posts to help fix up your finance.
  7. 50 Smartest Things To Do With Your Money by CNNMoney.com. Basic personal finance ideas covering topics such as real estate, money management, saving, taxes, investing, be a wiser consumer, and how to better yourself.
  8. Top 100 Personal Finance Blogs by Ask The Advisor. There are so many personal finance blogs out there, so this is by no mean an exhaustive list. However, this is a good place to start if your are just getting into the world of personal finance blogs and want a good list of blogs (and other resources) to start with.
  9. 25 Excellent Personal Finance And Personal Development Sites by Trent at The Simple Dollar. Another list of personal finance blogs. I immediately recognize a few prominent names on this list, but have not visited them all yet.
  10. Massive Personal Finance Resources List by The Frugal Law Student. This list is really massive. It has resources include links to online money management tools, offline software, investing tools, how to use Quicken, how to use Microsoft Money, spreadsheets, analog tools, tools for mobiles & PDAs, calculators, magazines and newspapers, books, forums and groups, blog carnivals, blogs, articles, high-yield on-line savings accounts, and the list goes on and on.

Bonus lists:

I hope you like this list of lists! This will certainly keeps me busy for a long time.

Man, that 30 free eBooks link totally sucks. In Firefox, the left quarter of the page is off the screen. In IE, it’s even worse, the left third of the page is off the screen. So I can’t read that thread at all. How did YOU read that thread?
