Readers Outreach: What can I do for you?
October 25, 2007 by Pinyo.
Blogging is a bizarre world. I can have thousands of visitors to my blog, and hundreds of subscribers for my feed, but I still feel strangely disconnected. Somehow, I feel that there’s that next level of connection with my blog readers and visitors that I haven’t reached yet. So, I am going to put this one on the table and ask YOU the question: What can I do for you?

You can either leave a comment, or send me a private message via the contact page. I would like to know about:
- Besides writing daily, what other services can I provide for you?
- What other features do you want to see on this blog?
- What type of content do you enjoy the most?
- Which topics you would like me to write about?
- Anything else?
Other Important News
M-Network
We are transitioning to the new FeedBurner Ad Network, which should be an improvement over the old aggregate feed. These are the few benefits I can think of (1) it’s faster, (2) you can see who made the post, (3) no more funny characters, and (4) it gives us the option to expand beyond the current 10 members.
If you are currently subscribing to the old aggregate feed, please visit our FAN network page and subscribe to our new aggregate feed. We will keep the old feed active until subscribers are transitioned over. You will have to switch over manually (sorry).
I should also add that the feed is a FULL FEED despite its appearance. Once you subscribe to it, it will be full feed in your reader.
Carnivals
I will be hosting two three carnivals:
- November 6th - Carnival of Money Stories
- November 19th - Carnival of Personal Finance
- December 3rd - Investors Blog Network (IBN) Festival
Group Writing Project
M-Network members will be doing another group writing project in late November. I will announce the exact date and topic soon. I would like to invite other bloggers to join us on this group writing project, and I will be hosting the master list here that you can also reproduce on your blog.

I’ll have to get back to you on this. But I do enjoy your blog as-is. And I think the M-Network is a cool idea. I shall go and ponder.
Thank you for liking my blog as is. If you can think of anything, I’d love to hear it.
I started subscribing to your blog a few weeks ago and I find it very engaging and informative. Keep up the good work. Personally, I would like to know more about your real estate experiences and the kind of situations you faced. Good Luck
@Deep - that’s a really wonderful thing to say — thank you. I don’t know if I have a lot to write about Real Estate.
- I bought my home before the market boom in NY.
- I regret that I bought a townhouse (less privacy/windows) and flat roof.
- I should have picked a better location, and not across a commercial lot that can make a lot of noise.
- I think my parents spend way too much on renovation, and had some bad renovation experience recently.
- I wish the house is just a tad smaller now that we are having a child.
- I wish the house has a private backyard so that my son can play in it.
- I thought about going into rental property before, but I am afraid to death about getting bad tenant.
Anything you would like to see in particular?
This might help if you ever should write an article about real estate for first time home buyers. How does one determine the realamount needed for a purchase? This includes not only the down payment but closing fees, moving fees, utilities, etc??? I suppose you could say the TC0 during the purchase stage.
@Mark - thank you. It’s been so long ago I am not sure if I remember all the fees and expenses, and there are some fees that are unique to where you are — but, I might give it a shot.
