This forums is an extension of the Money Blog Network, and it has a good mix of personal finance and blogging discussions. This is where you find personalities like J.D. of Get Rich Slowly, Flexo of Consumerism Commentary, Nick of Punny Money, and a whole host of other personal finance bloggers. This is the hang out where they come to share their war stories.
So, if you would like to read some of the “behind the scene” stuff, this is the place to visit.
This forums is an extension of the famed Get Rich Slowly blog. The main themes are personal finance and personal development. This is the place where people gathered to discuss money, organization, self-improvement, and success strategies.
Debt Consolidation Care Forums
At first, you may hesitate to visit a site with the words “debt consolidation” in its name. However, this site is a home to almost 100,000 people who share similar debt and credit experiences. It is a strong community that helps each other become debt-free and restore their credit worthiness. This is the place to go for serious debt and credit discussions.
This is a huge forums — I don’t think we can expect anything less from Microsoft…anyway, why didn’t Bill Gates name his company Megasoft?
Back to the forums, this is where you can actually interacts with the experts that regularly contribute to MSN Money — e.g., people like Liz Pulliam Weston, Tim Middleton, and Donna Freedman. The community is very lively and you can always find something good to read there; whether it’s smart spending, investing, or taxes.
SavingAdvice.com Personal Finance Forum
Aside from the huge forums with broad range of financial topics, I personally like the Member Blogs section. If you want a taste of personal finance blogging without the bells and whistles, using SavingAdvice.com Member Blogs feature is a good alternative to other blogging platforms.
However, if you plan to “go for it,” I highly recommend running WordPress with your own domain name on a decent web host.
Kiplinger is one of these big names in the financial niche that I like. This forums is a relatively young part of the larger financial portal. The three busiest forums in this community are retirement, taxes, and spending.
This is a community of a mega proportion. If I listed all the forums here, we would a list of chapter titles for a very comprehensive finance book. When I last visited, there were 3,000 active users on. The size of this forums is simply amazing — 500,725 discussions, 6,220,177 posts, and 239,951 members!

I knew about some of these, but not all of them. I’ve been reading the Kiplinger forums some lately, and there are some really good discussions in there. I wish I had more time in the day to keep up with the huge amount of information out there…

Money saving expert is an awesome British forum - although they don’t really like index funds, it is the place to go for UK specific information, plus all the general stuff you can get everywhere else.
Thanks for the list. I don’t have much time for forums, but if I’m looking for something to do, perhaps I’ll look into these.
My favourite is the moneysaving expert forum, but that is probably because being based in the UK we often see Martin Lewis the owner on TV a lot. However I will check out some of the others.
