Thanks for the roundabout link to my site via Consumerist’s article about my college money tip for freshmen! I’ve really enjoyed writing my college money tips series, so it’s great to see people respond to it. I think that Bankrate video is pretty good, although the line “Use your card even if you don’t need to!” is a little scary. It should never be about “needing” to use the card, you should only be using it when you could pay for the purchase out of pocket!
